July 27 — Aquarius Full Moon: Letting Go

Nature is in full swing at this part of the Summer: the buck’s antlers are growing in, thunderstorms are playing their music with accompanying light show, farmers are beginning to store their hay, and many of us have hay fever. Aquarius is the humanitarian of the zodiac — they are the teachers, the gurus, the eccentric leaders that bring people together. This Full Moon we will inquire within ourselves through the eyes of the Water Bearer. It is also another Full Lunar Eclipse that can be seen pretty much everywhere except North America. But just because we can’t see the eclipse, doesn’t mean we can’t feel its strength! We’ll take all the abundant energy that Nature is throwing at us and put it into some eclipse magic, which begins at 11:24 a.m. (if you can’t do this at the exact time, that’s okay, do it when you can). The Earth’s shadow will fully eclipse the Moon starting at 12:30 p.m. Spend as much time as you can in your own shadow to clear out what you might have not seen by meditating, doing a tarot reading, or any other type of reading until 1:21 p.m. which is the midpoint. Be 100 percent honest with yourself, now is the time to step out of denial.

Below are some tarot prompts for help. Ensure that you are in a safe space, in control of your environment, and sit with each of these things for a few moments. Feel them deeply. Know that you are in control of this feeling that comes to you and notice how strong you are in the presence of these things. Create a persona out of that feeling like we did for the Capricorn Full Moon. Take a few deep and cleansing breaths, splash some cold water on your face, play with your spin- ner, do something to bring you back from the feelings. When you are finished, safely burn the page of things that no longer serve you.

1. In what ways am I still holding myself back?

2. In what ways are other people holding me back?

3. How can I loosen up a little?

4. What relationships are not in my best interest?

At 2:13 p.m. the Moon will begin to move out of the Earth’s shadow. Spend the rest of the eclipse until 3:19 p.m. (or as much as you can) journaling and creating a plan to bring what you learned from your reading into your life. Use the tarot prompts below for additional inspiration, if needed.

5. What dream should I bring into fruition?

6. One way I can empower the persona I just created:

7. Where can I ask for help to reach my goals?

8. What communities should I seek out for support?
