This Scorpio season is something, isn’t it? And with the Mercury retrograde acting like a disruptive, exposing, and anxious cherry on top, things might be feeling a bit intense. It seems that lots of us have a lot of shit being stirred up that we are having to finally come to terms with, whether we are wanting to or not. I don’t think we’ll be able to avoid the work we need to do, so we might as well make ourselves comfortable and dive on in.
Taurus is the sign that is associated with stability, prosperity, sensuality, and patience (the short list version), so this Full Moon is a great time to spend some time thinking about the stuff that’s being stirred up for you at this time and find a way to work through it.
First, write down all your anxieties, worries, fears, everything that has you on edge right now. Make sure you leave no stone unturned, jot down everything that comes to mind no matter how small, petty, or silly it might seem to you at the time.
Next, look for patterns. I’m a researcher by trade, and I recommend writing down each of these things on a separate sticky note so you can move them around and group them by similarities. If that’s too much of an effort (and I wouldn’t blame you), make an honest effort of looking at what you wrote and name the patterns that emerge, for example “money worries,” “romantic relationship concerns,” etc.
Then, for each of these groupings that you have named, ask yourself the following:
- Where does this worry/fear/anxiety come from? Write down as much of the story as you can remember.
- Was there ever a time when you didn’t have these worries/fears/anxieties? What was that time like? If you didn’t address it in the first prompt, what changed that your experience is now different?
- What are some examples when you were able to successfully navigate these worries/fears/anxieties in the past?
- What do you need to be able to support yourself so you can address the things that are making you worry/be afraid/anxious?
This is the part where you can draw on the grounding nature of the Taurus Moon. Take a few minutes to perform your favorite grounding activity. Here is my favorite:
Sit with your feet on the floor. Take a deep breath and as you exhale, imagine you have roots coming out of your feet and into the ground below you. With your next few exhales, feel your roots getting deeper and deeper into the Earth. Once you have your roots as deep as they can do, with each inhale, imagine that you are drinking up love and support from the Earth. With each exhale, send down your worries and fears into the ground to be composted by the Earth below you.
Once you feel rooted and released, look at the list of support you need and determine how you can best go about getting the help that you need. Do you need to reach out to others? Can you write out some sort of plan? Can you make that plan into some sort of list of actions to take? What are some small steps that you can do to make some progress today? In the next couple of days? This week?
Keep your list somewhere you will see it frequently so you are reminded of the things you need to do to support yourself. We are all working on something at all times, whether we know it or not, but consciously taking action will give us results that will be easier to see and appreciate.
